Nestled in a small shopping plaza in Downtown Orlando is a Thai restaurant that would be overlooked by most, unless you are a Florida resident. Sea Thai Orlando is a small blue building boasting tons of posters on its windows. One might think these posters are just advertisements. Take a closer look and you’ll see a true diamond in the rough. The posters represent the many accolades the restaurant has claimed for its elegant presentations and heavenly Thai flavors that will not disappoint.
Walk inside and guests are invited into a romantic setting. Assortments of tasty wines are presented on the dark dimly lit walls, and the aroma of sweet and spicy Thai foods fills the room. When you are seated, the server is quick on their feet and will immediately greet you. You will have your drinks on your table within a matter of minutes. As you’re looking through the plethora of divine choices, there is an array of delicious appetizers.
The tulip dumplings are a must. Biting into the bite-sized dumplings, there is a smooth texture. The chicken and shrimp give this a strong flavor, but it’s the sweet corn and cilantro that really give the dish justice. Also, don’t forget the soy vinaigrette sauce for dipping, making every bite a bit sweeter.
Not only are the appetizers worth commending, but also the noodles are what make people rave. The Phad Thai Noodles are absolutely divine. As these noodles are set before you, they give off this pleasant aroma of sweet soy sauce. Take a bite and you will feel the smooth texture of the wide flat rice noodles with egg accompanied by pieces of tender chicken, finely chopped carrots and scallions, fresh mushrooms and broccoli.
After visiting this restaurant multiple times in the past year, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to indulge in true Oriental flavors.
